If you are a lesbian couple and you are thinking of having a family, you may have heard of the method ROPA. Reception of Oocytes from Partner is the best way for both women to take active part in making a baby. The eggs of A (genetic mother) are extracted and fertilized with anonymous donor’s sperm and then transferred to the utero of B (gestational mother) who will carry the pregnancy.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
In your first trip, our pick up service will be waiting for you at the airport to bring you to the hotel in the city centre. The next morning, we will hold the first consultation and karyotype analytics to the genetic mother. Then, results will be carefully evaluated.
In your second trip, the extraction of the ovules is performed and five days later the eggs are fertilized with donor sperm in the laboratory. At this point the best embryos are implanted in the utero of the gestational mother, but no more than two at a time.
Transferring the embryos does not take much time and the following day the woman can fly back to her country where her doctor does the echographie to the donor woman.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
In the first trip, our fertility consultants will review the clinical history of the patients and a transvaginal ultrasound examination will be carried out. Results from a blood test will be checked out. You will be explained all details of the egg donation programme.
The next step is the donor’s selection process with no waiting list for egg donation at all. The donor and recipient’s menstrual cycles must be synchronized. This might take from 15 to 20 days and can be performed in their home country.
Before the second trip, patients will be contacted 2 or 3 days before the embryo retrieval takes place. Only 3 days after the embryo is implanted.
Our pregnancy rate in egg donation programme is 78.3%.
A future family
Maybe you do not want to create a family at this moment but you do in a future. Fertility preservation consists of freezing and storing eggs, sperm or embryos.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
In the first trip, our fertility consultants will examinate you and get you an ovarian stimulation treatment to collect the eggs. Ecographies and analitics can be performed in your home country.
In the second trip, after collecting the eggs, they are frozen and stored in liquid nitrogen by vitrification process.
Although it is a viable option for some women, conceiving with frozen eggs is more difficult than with fresh ones.

Nowadays, having eggs or sperm fertility problems might be overcome by in vitro fertilization (IVF) which is actually the most successful fertility treatment. Egg is fertilized out of the woman’s body and then transferred into her utero. IVF can be performed using own egg and sperm or the donor’s.
The phases of IVF start with the stimulation of ovaries, retrieval of ovum, fertilization, selection of embryo, transferring embryo to the utero followed by a period from the transfer of embryo to pregnancy test and a pregnancy test.
