procedures

Regain your visual health thanks to our laser technology for a personalised treatment of cataracts based on the advanced correction of your sight.

There are diferent surgery:

1. CATALYS FEMTOSECOND LASER t is femtosecond laser technology that has revolutionised the surgical treatment of cataracts.

The advantatges of this method is:

  • Maximum precision
  • Personalized treatment
  • Extraordinary results

2.-PHACOEMULSIFICATION

Phacoemulsification means making a tiny micro-incision (less than 3 mm) using an ultrasound machine. With this we fragment the nucleus of the cataract, while not damaging its capsule, and then suck out all the fragments that have been produced.

We then introduce a foldable intraocular lens, made from a synthetic material, within this capsule, to correct any refractive errors that pre-existed at the time of the surgery (hypermetropia, myopia, astigmatism, presbyopia).

With this valved incision, stitching is not usually required to close it, as it seals itself. In most cases we use local anaesthesia, which can mean just a few eye drops rather than the need for injecting anaesthetic around the eye.

3.- PREMIUM LENSES

For a long time, traditional cataract surgery consisted in replacing the affected lens without taking into account the patient’s refraction. Consequently, patients always had to wear glasses after the surgery to see at near, far or both.

Now, thanks to the introduction of Premium Lenses, multifocal intraocular lenses designed to remove the need for glasses, we can offer good vision at all distances, according to the needs and visual requirements of each patient. The quality of vision after cataract or ‘tired eyes’ surgery with an IOL implant is determined by the type of lens used.
